Good morning, friends — and welcome back to Moments of Devotion.

This week has been another full one. There’s been work, school, meetings, errands, and a whole lot of life in between. We also had a bit of a family scare with an illness — one of those moments that stops you right in your tracks.

In that uncertainty, I found myself doing the only thing I could: asking God to intercede, to heal, and to bring peace. And as I prayed, I also thanked Him in advance for the healing I believed was already in motion.

It’s funny how life can rearrange our schedules so quickly. That one situation changed the rhythm of my entire week. I worked late most evenings trying to catch up and prepare for meetings coming up next week. By the time Friday rolled around, I felt like I’d run a marathon.

And now it’s Saturday morning. I managed to “sleep in” a little, but the day has already started. I’ve got my notebook out to make a grocery list, recipes scattered on the counter, some paperwork waiting for me to help one of the kids, and a meeting to prepare for later.

In other words — another busy weekend.

But here’s what’s different this morning: I’m sitting here in my favorite hoodie — the one that simply says, “Blessed.”

And that’s exactly how I feel.

📖 Scripture Reading: Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Sometimes it takes a scare, a change in plans, or a full calendar to remind me that it’s not just about taking a moment to pause when life forces me to — it’s about learning to pause on purpose.

Because it’s good and healthy for our souls to stop regularly — not just in passing — and remember who holds it all together.

This morning, as I sip my coffee (yes, I managed to hold onto it this time!) and glance at the long list of things ahead, I’m choosing to take this quiet moment and breathe in God’s goodness.

Even in the busy. Even in the uncertain. Even when the schedule feels out of control.

Because no matter what my week looks like, one thing never changes:
I am blessed.
Not because everything goes smoothly, but because God is always with me — guiding, healing, providing, and reminding me that His presence is enough.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, thank You for meeting us in the middle of our busy weeks and uncertain moments. Thank You for the gentle reminders that even when life feels out of balance, You are steady and sure.

Teach us to pause regularly — not just when life makes us stop — but as a rhythm of our hearts.
Help us to see Your blessings in every moment, even the hectic ones.
Thank You for Your healing, Your peace, and Your faithful love that never wavers.

In Jesus’ name we pray — Amen.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to pause with me today. My prayer is that this weekend, you’ll find your own quiet space — even for just a moment — to breathe, be still, and remember that you are deeply, abundantly, wonderfully blessed. 💛
